(Windcheck) The America’s Great Waters Coalition has named Narragansett Bay one
of America’s Great Waters, recognizing its ecological, economic and
cultural importance to the region. Save The Bay, a non-profit
organization dedicated to protecting, restoring and exploring the bay
and its watershed, applied for this national designation in 2010.
